When you create an account or use Penny Flip, we collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided at signup.
• Subscription data: Your current plan tier and billing history. Payment details (card numbers, etc.) are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, list views, and delivery preferences. This helps us improve the product.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you use the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Deliver penny lists and product updates to your inbox
• Process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe
• Improve the accuracy and relevance of our penny list data
• Respond to support requests and account inquiries
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the platform

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe receives your billing details to process subscription charges. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy commitments.

Penny Flip is not affiliated with Dollar General or Dollar Tree. We do not share any user data with either company.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your logged-in session, remember preferences, and understand how users interact with the platform. We may use privacy-focused analytics tools to track aggregate usage patterns. These tools do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.

If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or billing compliance purposes (such as tax records, which may be retained for up to 7 years). Anonymized or aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely.

• Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated personal data.
• Export: Request a portable export of your data in a standard format.
• Opt out of emails: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email. Transactional emails (receipts, account alerts) cannot be disabled while your account is active.

8. Children's Privacy

Penny Flip is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email. Your continued use of Penny Flip after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
